The 2020 Public Policy Day will be held on Wednesday, February 26. 

 

Public Policy Day is an annual event where staff and volunteers from United Ways across South Carolina meet with their legislators to discuss issues important to their communities and to our state. Join your collegues throughout the state to leverage our collective voice at United Way's Public Policy Day 2020. It is a key opportunity to share your work and investment findings with captive members of your delegation and leverage network-wide support of key education and community infrastructure policies.

 
Our annual Public Policy Day is a chance to connect with your legislative delegation - focused on your work and role in the community - while experiencing the state's legislative process and receiving recognition from both the SC House and Senate. Most importantly, it is an opportunity to demonstrate our collective presence in the state and be a voice for unheard issues and populations who don't have a voice or presence in many policy decisions.
 
A virtual training and day-of orientation will be available for first-time attendees.

Legislative appointments will take place throughout the day at the State House. From 11:30 am - 2:00 pm, we will host our annual Legislative Luncheon in the Blatt Building, Room 112. This is a great opportunity to interact with your legislators and their staffers.
